This data must be sent to the appropriate state agencies. State agencies maintain a copy of your record in their database.

In addition, we may ask you for personal information at other times, including (but not limited to) when you use our permit application process or purchase your boat registration. If you contact Outdoor Central, we may keep a record of that correspondence. Outdoor Central also occasionally asks users to complete surveys.

As such your personal account can be accessed, and customizable services can be offerred and provided.

Outdoor Central's primary goal in collecting personal information is to fulfill the requirement of state wildlife and park agencies in license applications. Our second goal is to provide our users with a better experience on our site, or our Partners' sites. This includes personalized services, technical support, interactive communications and other services. By knowing a little about you, Outdoor Central is able to deliver more relevant content and better service to you. From time to time, you may receive customized reminders, messages and offers via e-mail from Outdoor Central or state agencies according to agreements between Outdoor Central and state agencies. Outdoor Central also does research on our users' demographics, interests, and behavior based on the information provided to us upon a purchase transaction, during a promotion, from our server log files or from surveys. We do this to better understand and serve our users. This research is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis. Outdoor Central may share this aggregated (non-personal) data with States or business partners, but it is important to understand that no personally identifiable information is shared without your consent. As a general rule, Outdoor Central will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires it or under the circumstances described below. Outdoor Central does not sell or rent specific user information (personally identifiable information) to anyone. The following describes some of the ways that your information may be disclosed.

Outdoor Central may also disclose account information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be violating Outdoor Central's User Agreement or may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) Outdoor Central's rights or property, other Outdoor Central users, Outdoor Central clients, Outdoor Central Partners, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. Outdoor Central may disclose or access account information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it and for administrative and other purposes that we deem necessary to maintain, service, and improve our products and services.

Outdoor Central may, from time to time, send you elective e-mails regarding our products and services. In addition, if we have an agreement with a state agency that allows Outdoor Central to occasionally send you direct mail about products and services that we believe may be of interest to you, we may do so. Only Outdoor Central (or agents working on behalf of Outdoor Central and under confidentiality agreements) will send you these direct mailings and only if you indicated that you do not object to these offers. We'll include a way, such as an "unsubscribe" link, so that you may elect not to receive future offers.

Information collected through purchase of license products will be sent to involved state agencies, and we'll keep a copy in our database for future purchases. If you want to update or correct the information stored in our database, access the state of interest and begin the sale process.

Keeping your personal financial information private is important to us. As with all personally identifiable information, Outdoor Central does not rent or sell your personal financial information. Knowing that you use certain services or features may help us to offer you better and more relevant content. But as with all personally identifiable information, we do not make this available to any third parties without your permission. Any user statistics that we may provide to prospective advertisers or partners regarding financial product or service usage on Outdoor Central are provided in the aggregate only and do not include any personally identifiable information about any individual user. Any time we collect a credit card number we transmit that credit card number in an encrypted format. We use industry-standard, SSL (secure socket layer) encryption.

We take additional security measures to protect your information from being misused. For example, to search by a user's name or social security number, we require that the date of birth must also be matched.
